I received some nail mail last week from KB Shimmer which I mentioned in a previous post. I also received STARK RAVEN MAD by KB Shimmer and it's a beauty!

As you can see I had to do a major chop on my nails. I had two breaks on my left hand and one on my right. I had patched all three up but somehow my patch had failed me on my right which is my hand I like to photograph.
Here is a picture of a design I did last week. I used My Vampire is Buff by OPI as a base and acrylic paint for the designs . Also I used some gold chains I picked up from Michaels craft store.
I'm playing catch up with my posts. It's been a hectic few weeks for me. I try and schedule post but sometimes I can only get one post up. But I'm improving. I really enjoy posting my nails and watching my growth.
I've been really into my pastel polishes lately. Pastel colors just say SPRING to me. Also I love a great peach colored polish.
Happy Monday! It's snowing here in Maryland. I figured it was a good day to catch up on some post. I'm still trying to tweak my eating plan. It's a process in deed! Some days are good some are a struggle. I actually did some juicing last week and lost a few pounds! Yay! Ok on to the manicure.
I feel like I haven't had a post in a while. I've been back on my healthy lifestyle kick and I've been really trying to focus on that. Planning meals is not really hard work but making the effort to eat what you've planned is where it gets tricky! Anywho on to this spring Mani!
Happy Saturday! This is a quick post. I wanted to share my mani for the weekend. I ordered some nail wraps from www.shopncla.com this week.
It's a snow day for me today and I decided to get caught up on some post. I refuse to eat up everything today so why not be productive!
I did this mani last night out of wanting to use some more "untried" polishes. I had swatched Bells Will Be Blinging the night before over black and couldn't wait to have it as a mani. I wasn't sure of what other polish I wanted to add to the mani but knew I wanted to bring out the blue glitter in Bells Will Be Blinging. I had also never used Midnight Mission by China Glaze as well and thought it would be perfect!
Now as much as I love green, I love blue nail polish just as much! There's something about blue against my complexion that I love. I think my undertones really compliment blue.
For the Bells Will Be Blinging design I had planned to use tape for this but the polish is so rich and thick that I was able to free hand my tape design. Also Midnight Mission was very opaque with one coat which I thought was great because to me some China Glaze polish need at least 2-3 coats for opaqueness.
I will definitely be using more untried polishes!
Have you tried either of these polishes? If so how'd you like them? If not definitely give them a go!
It's Monday manicure time! Today I decided I wanted to use a polish that I hauled yesterday from the nail supply.

It seems as though I've been looking at nails, nail art and polish non stop here lately. Any of my free time I've dedicated to looking at nails. I've always been into nails but here lately I've become somewhat obsessed with nails.
So many ideas and designs have run through my mind. I have become inspired by so many nail artist and bloggers. I like the inspiration but at the same time I like to sort of make things my own. Pretty much be unique sort of speak. It's really hard to come up with original designs because with so many nail bloggers and nail artist some things I think of have already been done. For example, I'm a chocolate lover. So the other day I said hmmm I should do candy bar nails or a Twix or Mr. Goodbar inspiration nail. Well in my cruise through nail designs via google wouldn't you know I saw these already done. I didn't see Mr. Goodbar but pretty much the idea I had was already done.
Last night before going to bed I looked at a few nail videos on YouTube and had the idea of doing a bouquet of hearts(middle finger) . But my vision was to have the bouquet just to the side of the nail. Being I don't have the length for that nor a steady hand it covered the whole nail.
So this morning I decided to play around with different designs using my acrylic paints and maybe come up with a concept or two. I figured why not post to Instagram and blog what I've done. I'm still a work in progress and I'm anxious to get better at my hobby.
Here is another pic of my left hand.

Also I failed to mention I did this over an old mani of nude polish. Here is a pic of the previous mani that I blogged about the other day.
If you enjoy nail art, what inspires you to create? I'd love to know!
So this is my weekend manicure. I'm so tickled over this mani because it was actually my first time using water decals !
I normally like to hand paint my designs and used to not go no where near the water decals and sticker nail section in the drug store. I thought those were for the kids to play with. Well call me a big kid then because I'm in love with these things now!!
I found the water decals at Walmart in the nail isle. I knew I wanted to do something with them for Valentines Day but wasn't sure what. Well as I'm scrolling through Instagram I came across a pic with this design and fell in Love!!
I did let the poster know that I would be duplicating the design and I was sure to tag her when I created mine.
Now I can't wait to experiment with the rest of the decals that came in the pack. Also this design was soooo easy to create. I googled the design after I saw the pic. I saw a few blogs creating the design. Too many to name but hey , feel free to google and you will wind many instuctions on this mani.
I didn't do a tutorial(yet) on this as I wasn't too sure how it was going to turn out. But being it was so easy I may revisit this manicure and be sure to do a pic tutorial or something.
Have you ever tried the water decals? If so how was your experience?
Thanks for reading! XOXO
